the have basically the same game compatibility, we use their libraries for game fixes. Ours just has some extra install features and a guiding Gui for those features, if you're already on skelrom 1 and have all the apps you need set up there's no need to upgrade to NCCE .3 id just check when we release .4 if sources get here for any changes, but aside that i did post my changes in .3 and you can do the same while being in skelrom if u like by using pimpmyrom without having to reflash.
My S7300 ran NCCE 0.1 from day one didnt even turn it on with what came preloaded, and i then switched up to 0.2. I was rather impressed by fixed issues that had been reported with the stock rom. I then changed to Skelrom to see what the added game compatibility was like, and hes done a great job getting more games and apps to load. I am yet to try NCCE 0.3 out because ive been working late shifts this week and i generally sleep most of the day and work all night, and would quite like to use the s7300 for play with the short time i can spare it this week. But i am going to swap on my next day off when i have time to reinstall all my apps and games. The main difference ive notiuces since swapping from NCCE 0.2 to skelrom is that on skelrom my devise appears to reboot alot more frequently than when i was running ncce. I will hazard a guess that the latest NCCE will possibly be similar if its using some of skelroms libraries. Will soon find out when i swap over
Hey F-zero, yes i ran NCCE 0.3 for a few days after my post above, for me personally i found skelrom had fewwer random crashes so i switched back to skelrom. However many users on dingoonity reported the opposite to me so am not sure why this is. I can only guess it is because i use directory bind rather than sd swap, and i also use apex launcher as my defult launcher. But for me skelrom is slightly more practical. That said for a new user i would recommend trying NCCE0.3 first if its emulation you are interested in. NCCE 0.3 has the most amazing custom installer i have ever used on any android devise it comes preloaded with every major hard hitting emulator there is. So you can start playing with the s7300 straight away, which is what most people want to do with a new devise. Where as skelrom is very detoxed and will require a hour or so of downloading apps and setting everything up. I would recommend using ncce 0.3 for a day or so then switching to skelrom and testing everything that you used on NCCE out again and see which one is more functional for yourself. i realise this is not a definite answer to your question but there are such a variety of responses to this question it is hard to recommend one over the other. Ii also noticed that a few of the beefier android games have less lag on skelrom. for example wildblood had frame drops on NCCE 0.3 during battles but on skelrom it ran flawlessly, i imagine this could be contributed to using the overclock kernel which comes with skelrom however i only increase the max mhz slightly i never pushed it to its limits
have you noticed that charging takes an eternity? or is it just on mine, and charging whilst playing is nearly impossible might go up 5 or 6% in an hour if charging and playing.
I think I will heed your advice mate. Go with the NCCE 0.3 for now then if it has the emus preloaded. Of course I would normally opt for the lightweight option and just install what I need, but I would only go into the Play Store and d/l all the usual emus anyway
As for battery, yeah, now you mention it, it wasn't completely flat when I plugged it into the wall and it's been what, a couple hours now, and at 86%. I'd expected it to have full charge by now.
Going to check your handy guide in a minute and get the NCCE on there. I will most likely try Skelrom too during the week then.
